Vantastival is family-friendly music and campervan festival with a diverse line-up of homegrown rock, folk, trad, electro and punk acts, art installations, comedy, kids’ activities, friendly vibes, quirky extras and much more. It is one of Ireland’s most unique independent music festivals, a relaxed and super friendly event showcasing the best of up-and-coming Irish acts. Sponsored by VW Commercial Vehicles Ireland, The festival attracts hundreds of Volkswagen campervans, dating from the 1950s to present day, each year, but VWs are not the only campervans welcome and vans of all shapes and sizes can be found at Vantastival. Tent campers are also very welcome for the weekend, and day tickets are available for both Saturday and Sunday for those who don’t like to camp. This is not exclusively a campervan event! Each year music-lovers flock to Drogheda from all over Ireland for this intimate festival experience in the beautiful grounds of Beaulieu House, a hidden gem situated on the sloping banks of the river Boyne.
Up to 100 original live music acts feature on five stages over the three days of Vantastival and the festival is renowned for its unique and spectacular timber stages, custom built on site from materials found in the Beaulieu woodland. However, music is not the only thing this festival has to offer. A firm favourite at Vantastival is The Volkswagen Campervan Cook-off, a ‘Ready Steady Cook’ style competition in which contestants are challenged to make a 2-course meal using only the facilities in their campervans. Other features include laughter yoga, comedy, art installations, fire performers, craft stalls, festival traders, an Alice in Wonderland themed kids’ camp, and much much more. Vantastival has something for everyone!
