The Irish National Guitar Festival 2010
Taoiseach Brian Cowen will officially launch The Irish National Guitar Festival 2010 on Friday 9th at 12:15pm at the TLT Concert Hall, Drogheda.
The Irish National Guitar Festival will run from April 7th to the 11th in Drogheda. This is the first year of the festival and is promised to be 5 days of guitar heaven!
There will be concerts, product clinics, master classes and performances from some of the world’s greatest guitarists
as well as demonstrations from the leading industry brands such as Marshall, Fender, Orange, Takamine, Martin and many more.
The main event centre is Drogheda’s new state of the art concert hall – The TLT.
Catch Preston Reed, John Cruz, Freddie White, Andy Irvine, Ed Gerhard, Eduardo Niebla, Maria Butterly, Gareth Pearson, Jimmy Smyth, Steve Fairclough, and Pat Mc Manus as they perform at the nightly concerts. Also don’t miss a very special performance from Paul Brady who is performing during the festival on the Wednesday evening at The TLT.
The festival is aiming to attract a huge number of visitors to the town for the weekend, and the festival organizers in conjunction with Failte Ireland have secured fantastic accommodation rates with local hotels for the duration of the festival. You can get 2 nights B&B + 1 evening meal + a complete festival pass for only €135 per person sharing.
There is a free minibus service running for the entire weekend, ferrying visitors to and from the associated hotels and venues.

Day passes are priced are €8 for adults and €5 for under 16’s and students. Concerts are priced €20, although keep in mind you can purchase a complete festival pass for only €50 which gives you compete access to all concerts and events in The TLT from the Thursday evening to the Sunday evening.
