DUNDALK YOUTH THEATRE Youth Drama Project 2010
Dundalk Youth Theatre next series of Drama Workshops are about to recommence. This new Drama Project was created for 14-18 yr olds with an interest in Drama. The project will run every Saturday from the 25th September 2010 – May 2011 in the old Black Box theatre D.K.I.T. It provides a forum for young people from the Dundalk area, who for differing reasons may not have the opportunity to get involved in drama previously, or who have experience but are looking for an alternative creative approach to drama.
These Drama Workshops are an exciting new initiative, dedicated to producing new approaches to theatre in an environment where work can be shared and developed by the participants. The Workshops will be innovative in their approach to drama by nurturing new and original work and providing participants with the opportunity to experiment with several dramatic techniques. They will encounter new and exciting skills, in acting and voice training, in a safe and creative environment. It is envisaged that the group will together produce a new and innovative theatrical production on completion of the course.
