The Inspiration Project at Scotch Hall
The work itself is in the form of some very large digitally imagined and hand-painted scenes along with sculpted art objects. It is a way of “turning out” the inner world of the artist in order reveal the reality beneath the surface of things. These pieces are installed in a multimedia scenario made using resin fibre, bronze, cast stone, readymades, photography and film.
This exhibition coincides with the visit to Drogheda Rotary Club of Istanbul Sisli Rotary Club and celebrates our links in the form of a painting of the Turkish Ship that brought aid during The Famine also featured in the exhibition.
As part of the concept of the project Sean O’Dwyer will be giving practical demonstrations and talks on his work in the space on Wednesday the 10th of October at 10am. If you would like to attend these workshops please contact him at…

Dundalk Photo Walk
Dundalk is one of over 1300 towns and cities across the world where photographers will be taking part in the fifth annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk on Saturday October 13th.
This is the first time the event has been marked in Dundalk, giving local photographers the opportunity to take part in what’s being billed as ‘ the world’s larged social photography event in the history of photography’.
The Dundalk walk is being lead by Argus reporter and amateur photographer Margaret Roddy who felt that it was time that Dundalk had a walk of its own.
‘We have two camera clubs in town as well as a photography course at O’Fiaich College so there should be plenty of photographers out there who would be interesting in getting together, taking photos and putting Dundalk on the map.’
The two hour walk gets underway at St Helena Park, (entrance opposite Lidl) on Saturday October 13th, setting off at 11am, and is open to anyone interested in photography, whether they use a smartphone or a DSLR. It’s all about having fun and sharing a love for photography.
More Photo Walk details are available at: http://worldwidephotowalk.com – simply search for walks in Ireland and register to participate in the Photo Walk. It’s a free event and there’s the chance to win a prize for the best photograph taken on the walk.
