Culture as a means of local development: a new art project in Cosenza, Italy!
In the frame of a new contemporary art project in Italy, VIVA | Performance Lab Cosenza is looking for 8 emerging artists from different countries, willing to take part in a seven days workshop with Tania Bruguera and Cristiana Perrella. From the 1st to the 9th of December 2012, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their current work and develop an individual performance which will be presented at the end of the week in a festival to be held in the city centre of Cosenza,
Trans Europe Halles actively supports this project which aims at developing the cultural offer of the city and to professionalise the cultural actors and artists working in the city. The local community will be involved throughout the whole process which also includes a capacity building workshop for the independent cultural scene of Cosenza, with international expert and TEH member Sandy Fitzgerald.
