  • ‘My days with Patrick Kavanagh’ – Godfrey Graham (RTE cameraman for forty years).

  • ‘Patrick Kavanagh: The poet as friend’- Christine Dwyer-Hickey.

‘The G.A.A culture and post Lisbon Treaty’ – Sean Kelly, MEP.

Commemorative Mass for Patrick Kavanagh and deceased family members. Celebrant: Fr. Martin Treanor P.P. Homilist: Dr. Una Agnew.

  • ‘Kavanagh’ by Tom O’Brien. A dramatisation based on the life of Patrick Kavanagh. Directed by John Dunne
  • ‘Memories of Katherine Kavanagh’ – Leland Bardwell
  • Cherished Irish Songs from her hit TV series ‘Songbirds’ – Fil Campbell
  • Launch of St. Daigh’s N.S. Poetry Anthology ‘Garden of Golden Apples’. Produced by the pupils under the guidance of Noel Monahan (poet and playwright), Kate Beagan (artist) and school staff.
  • Annual Primary  Schools Poetry Award
  • Monaghan V.E.C. Junior Poetry Awards.

These events are interspersed with Bus and Walking Tours of Kavanagh Country, music, song and local history which bring the poetry of Patrick Kavanagh to life for young and old alike.
