A Day in Dundalk – Photography Call Out

by Admin / Tuesday, 09 February 2021 / Published in Jobs

In association in The Argus
‘A Day in Dundalk’ is a photography project by An Táin Arts Centre, which will capture a snapshot of daily life in Dundalk and the surrounding areas on Friday 19th of February 2021.

We are inviting YOU to join us and take a photo which captures your life on the 19th of February, to be included in this photographic exhibition. Whether you’re working, homeschooling the kids, enjoying the countryside, walking the dog or running errands in Dundalk town, we want you to photograph something from your life on that day and send it to us.

GET INVOLVED
– Follow our camera club tips on social media.
– Join us on Friday 19th of February by taking a photo of your preferred subject.
– Email it to info@antain.ie with a description of the image or who appears in the photograph. Please put “A Day in Dundalk submission” in the subject line of the email.

At a time when uncertainty is prevalent and our daily lives are in a constant state of change depending on the level of restrictions in place, An Táin Arts Centre want to capture a slice of life as we navigate the lifting and re-implementing of Covid-19 restrictions.

The images will be curated into an online exhibition viewable on An Táin Arts Centre’s virtual gallery. A selection will be printed in a featured article in the Dundalk Argus.

No photography experience is necessary, but to help you along we are collaborating with two local camera clubs to give some photography tips and inspiration, to help you capture the best image of your preferred subject. We will be posting a tip from each camera club on our social media between now and the 19th of February.

*Please be aware that as part of our terms and conditions by submitting a photograph you expressly give An Táin Arts Centre permission to use the image as part of the exhibition ‘A Day in Dundalk’ and as part of any marketing and /or promotional activity by An Táin Arts Centre. If you are submitting an image of children, please insure you have permission from their parent/ guardian.
